CLEVELAND — For the Browns, it’s now onto the bye week. Unfortunately, it comes on the heels of a 32-28 loss to the Seattle Seahawks that drops Cleveland’s record to 2-4.

I know many of you are upset at the officiating in the game, and you should be. But make no mistake, the Browns have no one to blame but themselves. They played some of their best football of the season in building a 20-6 lead, then watched it all evaporate after turnovers, a blocked punt, missed tackles, and penalties derailed them.

There’s a long way to go and plenty of time for the Browns to get this thing turned around. It’s going to take a team effort. Baker Mayfield has to cut down on his interceptions and re-discover that accuracy that made him so effective as a rookie. Freddie Kitchens needs to figure out all of the nuances that go into being a head coach besides just calling the plays. His offense needs an identity. The guys who are injured need to get healthy. And the Browns have to figure out how to overcome adversity and not curl up into a ball when things go bad.

So those are the things we will discuss on Monday’s edition of “After Further Review.” ‘The Voice of the Browns,’ Jim Donovan, will check in with us and I’ll look forward to taking your comments and questions on Facebook Live throughout the show.
