Trailing the Arizona Cardinals 14-0 in the second quarter, the Cleveland Browns found themselves facing what could have been considered an epic collapse.
But in getting the ball into the hands of arguably their best offensive player, the Browns managed to cut the Cardinals lead in half with running back Nick Chubb scoring on a 33-yard touchdown run with 7:50 remaining in the second quarter.
The touchdown run marked Chubb’s seventh of the season. With 66 yards on seven carries, the Georgia product has now rushed for 1,347 yards this season — the most of any player in the NFL.
On the ensuing series, Cleveland rookie linebacker Mack Wilson intercepted Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, giving the Browns the ball back at the Arizona 28-yard line. Suffice to say, if Cleveland finds itself back in the end zone, Chubb will likely once again be a big reason why.
