CLEVELAND — A season of such high hopes is (essentially) over.

The Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-15 Sunday in the final home game of the year. Cleveland is now 6-9, and will continue its playoff-less drought that has festered since 2002.

Fans, as to be expected, are not happy: This was supposed to be the year the Browns claimed their rightful place atop the AFC North, and maybe even contended for a Super Bowl. Instead, they are guaranteed to finish with a worse record than 2018’s 7-8-1 mark.
