3News’ Leon Bibb shares a poem to rally the Dawg Pound ahead of the Browns’ first playoff game since 2002.
‘Twas the day before the playoffs, when all through the land….
Browns nation was stirring, the playoffs at hand
The jerseys, helmets and masks hung for game day with care
But in true Cleveland fashion, it really wasn’t fair
But visions of the Super Bowl still danced in our heads
Fans will dress with their lucky shirts and their ball caps
Ready after the browns took an 18-year playoff nap
All season in the stands there hasn’t been much clatter
But on the field the team started clicking, clicking in a flash
Down the field Nick Chubb would dash
Now Baker to Higgins To Landry or People Jones
Block them Garrett, Ward our defense loyal to the bones
To the end zone and the top of the Wall
Dash away, dash away it’s playoff football.
Then I heard the Dawg Pound exclaim — with a championship in sight
We are ready to take down the Steel City — See you Sunday night!
