WKYC: Meijer donates food to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank

CLEVELAND — Meijer is donating 6,000 turkeys to help families in need through the Greater Cleveland Food Bank along with the Cleveland Browns.

This event is part of Meijer’s $1 million (50,000) turkey give-away for local food banks across the Midwest.

The turkeys were distributed at the City of Cleveland’s Muni Lot directly to food bank clients.

Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joel Bitonio and the team’s mascot, Chomps, were part of the event. 

Local Meijer stores are currently open in Avon, Mentor, Stow, Lorain and Brimfield.
