Preview:
Coming off of consecutive losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Chargers, the Browns will look to bounce back and even their record to .500 when they welcome the Patriots to FirstEnergy Stadium. While Bill Belichick’s team might not be the Super Bowl contender it has been for the better part of the previous two decades, New England’s roster possesses plenty of talent and is coming off of an impressive 29-0 victory over the Detroit Lions.
At quarterback, Mac Jones appears poised to make his return to the Patriots’ lineup after missing the past two games with an ankle sprain. If Jones is unable to play, New England will once again turn to rookie Bailey Zappe, who was impressive in last week’s win over Detroit.
As for Cleveland, the Browns will once again be relying on quarterback Jacoby Brissett — who began his career in New England — as well as what will likely be a heavy dose of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Defensively, Cleveland will look to turn around what has been a disappointing start to the 2022 campaign.
