CLEVELAND — Owners of the Cleveland Browns, Jimmy and Dee Haslam, appear to be expanding their sports interests – this time in the NBA.

“The deal, which sources said is still pending league approval, would be the second-highest valuation ever for an NBA team, only being surpassed by the $4 billion purchase of the Phoenix Suns by Mat Ishbia from Robert Sarver that was completed earlier this month,” according to Bontemps.

“The Haslams, who have explored buying other pro teams in the past, are seeking the 25% share currently held by Marc Lasry, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation,” according to the previous AP report published back on Feb. 10.

This is a developing story. 3News will update this article once additional information is released.
