CLEVELAND — Jim Brown, who was arguably the greatest Cleveland Brown and one of the greatest players in NFL history, passed away Thursday night at the age of 87.
According to the Associated Press, a spokeswoman for Brown’s family said he passed away peacefully in his Los Angeles home with his wife, Monique, by his side.
Brown helped revolutionize the running back position during his nine years in Cleveland, carrying the ball 2,359 times for 12,312 rushing yards and 106 touchdowns, which were all NFL records when he retired.
