WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Cleveland Browns RB D’Onta Foreman has been taken to a hospital via helicopter following a “direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain” during practice on Thursday morning.
According to the Browns, the team’s athletic training staff “deployed their standard emergency action procedure” to immobilize Foreman following the injury.
As a result of the injury, Foreman was taken to an ambulance and is being transported via helicopter to a medical center in Roanoke, Virginia, to undergo further medical evaluation.
Team officials said that Foreman had movement in all his extremities.
Mary Kay Cabot of 3News’ partner Cleveland.com, shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, of the team on their knees praying for Foreman following the injury.
Cabot noted that the injury happened when the running back was participating in a return drill during the team’s first full padded session of training camp at The Greenbrier.
