AVON, Ohio — An investigation is underway following an alleged domestic violence incident involving Cleveland Browns rookie Mike Hall Jr.
According to Avon police, the incident happened on Monday night. The victim signed a domestic violence complaint against Hall.
A spokesperson for Avon police told 3News’ partner Cleveland.com that the 21-year-old was arrested on Tuesday morning and will be arraigned in Avon Municipal Court.
The Cleveland Browns released the following statement to 3News on Tuesday morning:
“We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall, Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at the time.”
During the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected Hall, an Ohio State defensive tackle and Streetsboro native.
Hall was a legend for the Rockets, who led the program to an 11-1 season and its first-ever playoff win as a junior in 2019, tallying 17 tackles for loss and five sacks in the process. In three years with the Buckeyes, he was a two-time third-team All-Big Ten selection, finishing his college career with 10 tackles for loss and six sacks.
