CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have reportedly released safety Juan Thornhill ahead of NFL free agency.
The news, first reported on X by the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, noted that the Browns and Thornhill’s representatives agreed to part ways after discussions in recent days.

This move, which allows Thornhill to explore opportunities with other NFL teams, comes before the new league year begins on March 12 at 4 p.m.
Since coming to Cleveland in 2023, Thornhill, 29, recorded 103 tackles and four passes defended in 22 games for the Browns.
Prior to joining Cleveland, the University of Virginia product played four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Thornhill still had one year left on his three-year contract with the Browns in 2023.
