CLEVELAND — With just a few weeks before the 2025 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns added depth to their receiving and returning ranks with the signing of DeAndre Carter.
Carter has bounced around the league for much of his 7-year career, spending time with the Texans, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Eagles, and most recently, the Chicago Bears.
Playing primarily as a kick and punt returner during his career, Carter has one touchdown on his resume which came on a kick return during his time with the Commanders in 2021.
During the 2024 season, Carter totaled 17 punt returns for 158 yards (9.3 yard avg.) and 15 kickoff returns for 479 yards (31.9 yard avg, career high). His 637 total return yards ranked fifth in the NFL.
Carter looks to help a Cleveland Browns return unit that ranked 30th in the NFL in kickoff return average and 11th in punt return average.
