BEREA, Ohio — Odell Beckham Jr. is no stranger to making statements with his wardrobe.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver has sported $2 million watches, custom cleats in all colors, and has even worn a Thom Browne kilt to the famous Met Gala.

But this week, Beckham is making a statement of a different kind.

Beckham turned to Instagram Monday to call out the NFL for his latest fine — a $14,037 penalty for wearing pants that did not cover his knees during an Oct. 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

“14k for some pants that are NOT gonna protect me from anything… this shxt is ridiculous,” Beckham wrote on an Instagram Story post that showed a screenshot of the letter he received from the NFL.

In that letter, the league wrote, “Specifically, your pants failed to cover the knee area,” a violation of Rule 5, Section 4, Article 3, Item 4.

It wasn’t the first time the league has come down on Beckham for his fashion choices. He wore a $350,000 Richard Mille watch during the season opener, which violated a league rule that prohibits players from wearing hard objects. Beckham followed with a $2 million watch, which he wore during pregame warmups against the New York Jets.

Beckham can appeal the fine, which will be deducted from his paycheck if he chooses not to appeal.
