Preview
In Week 16, the Cincinnati Bengals will face a struggling Browns team. The Bengals are looking to sweep Cleveland in the battle of Ohio.
This week’s contest features a change at QB for Cleveland after many recent mishaps.
Jameis Winston, who took over Cleveland’s starting job in October when Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending ruptured Achilles tendon, was benched after throwing his third pick — and eighth in three games — in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson finished the game and will now move into the starting lineup and face the Bengals (6-8).
While the Bengals struggled at the start of the season, Cincinnati still has a chance to make the NFL Playoffs. The AFC North team would probably need a miracle to make the postseason, but one thing they would have to do is win out.
They would also need help from either the Broncos or the Chargers losing out, as well as the Dolphins and Colts dropping one more game.
With Nick Chubb being out after breaking his foot in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, we can expect Jerome Ford to take over as the primary running back. He will be asked to run against a poor Bengals run defense, allowing 126.9 rushing yards per game.
Despite their record, the Bengals boast one of the best offenses in the NFL. Ja’Marr Chase leads the league with 1,413 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns, and Burrow leads the league in passing yards with 3,977.
